Amatrice and surroundings.
My grandparents were coming from Umbria and Marche, hard workers and accustomed to sacrifice their whole since they live there.
They lived with the little things they had and with what they cultivated, it was good and honest people, proud to be born in this poor region at the time.
Today, the village of my grandmother Cecilia is no more, the earthquake destroyed everything in Amatrice.
Marche is a lovely area, I was asked several times for a site inspection of the Hotel Fortino Napoleonico, I went to visit also beautiful villas, unforgettable places for their elegance, they know how to welcome and they are warmly friendly, with a style “Marches” simple and rich.
The Monte Conero, with its Mediterranean maquis, with a note of relaxation, between sea and mountains, many villages with medieval characteristics and extremely rich in history and art.
I encourage couples to get married in the region of Umbria and Marche. These are perfect areas to celebrate your wedding in a church, a monastery, an abbey or a hermitage if you are Catholic. Cities like Urbino, Pesaro are the best places for this, you have to visit these places. And for those who want a civil marriage, municipalities are amazing, many dating back to medieval times and there are also beautiful farms.
You will not regret your choice.
To get there, there is a port, an airport and it’s only two hours by train from Rome.
