It is an ancient Residence which dates back to the end of XVIII century. Once a water mill, it became at the beginning of the nineteenth century a farmhouse and center for coloring wool. Then it was transformed into a hydroelectric power plant, which remained active until the sixties. At the end of the ninety, thanks to a recovery plan based on the use of local materials and craftsmen, the abandoned buildings were restored and turned into a Scattered Hotel. Moreover, it was created a river park by safeguarding the existing flora and fauna and also a museum of industrial archeology. Today, La Piana dei Mulin is a Site of Community Importance SCI and it’s under the supervision of The Ministry of Cultural Heritage and Activities.
